Hello there, I've been reading the controller configuration guides, and I still can't find an answer to my problem. It works like this. I configure my controller, but for some reason, the right analog stick gets bound to the main buttons(circle, square, etc.). So for example, when playing Final Fantasy where the triangle key is the menu button, pressing up on the right analog will open the menu. This is pretty infuriating as in some games that stick is needed to move the camera. I tried monkeying around with lock input, direction, etc., but nothing seems to stop this multiple button/stick binding.

There is a button on the controller, usually located between the select and start buttons (and labelled mode on generic third party dualshocks). This button switches the controller between digital and analogue modes. The controllers are usually in digital mode by default. Make sure that the small led light by the mode button is lit and rebind the controls.

The Iso Zone (sometimes referred to as IsoZone, Iso Zone) was added by Propedia in Dec 2015 and the latest update was made in Sep 2019. The list of alternatives was updated Jun 2019. It's possible to update the information on The Iso Zone or report it as discontinued, duplicated or spam.

How can I set my psx2 to use my mouse as a control stick?

I am playing a game that is easier to play with a controller that has a joystick like the PS2 controller (gta vice city) but I don't have the money to get a USB PS2 controller and am stuck using my keyboard. I can play it that way but it would be easier of I could use my mouse as a joy stick for things like looking around. This isn't touched on anywhere in the article at all in fact the only part that involve doing something with the mouse is how to further dis engage it. I have tried: I have been playing around in the controller config tab and see there is an option to set the mouse for curtain things but I haven't been able to figure out how to implement it. How to make the controller understand that I'm holding the button?

Hi, in one of the games there's a part where I need to hold the button to pass the mission, but the holding is not working. When I hold the button, it's just clicking constantly in the game. This question is not covered in the article, so I'm asking how to deal with this problem and can it be fixed. Hi, . . I've smack down vs raw 2008 PS2 game with PS2 emulator version 2.0.5 and I'm not able to connect game pad (logistic). . When I run the game it detects that game pad however movement of the player during running that game is not working properly. . Playstation 2 Information

PlayStation 2 is one of the most famous video game consoles in the world. It won’t be far-fetched to say that of all the consoles in the history of video games, Sony’s PlayStation 2, known as PS2 has recorded the most success. They sold approximately 155 million units across the globe. Their longevity was amazing, considering the fact that the first set of units came out early 2000 and they produced the last set about a decade after in 2012.

The “Emotion Engine” was one of the biggest marketing points in the early days of the PS2. This was the nickname given to the central processor of the console. It was a powerful and innovative design, specially optimized for 3D gaming. Just like the PlayStation, Sony put a lot of effort into making it friendly for third-party designers.

That’s not to say a console is only about marketing and hardware. When it comes down to it, its game line-up is out of this world and the PS2 with its library of more than 1,800 original titles will probably be considered the strongest in the history of gaming. Almost all the genres have at least one or two hit tittles. Although the titles launched in 2000 were just average, 2001 came with some hit titles that put the PS2 at the top of the market: Gran Turismo 3, Grand Theft Auto 3, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy X, A-Spec, Jak and Daxter, Metal Gear Solid 2: And the biggest of them all is The Wrath of Cortex.

Although they were not really part of the plan when they launched the console, the inclusion of the Firewire ports and USB turned out great. The Rock Band series and the Guitar Hero also turned out to be huge sellers. Although devices such as the Eye Toy were more a niche market than anything, they actually laid the foundation for other motion-controlled and camera-based systems for the next consoles released.

In the course of its lifetime, the PS2 witnessed the release of different form factors, but the “slim” and “fat” cases are the two major variants. The slim case was first released in 2004, with a lower profile and a hard drive expansion bay that weighed significantly less. You should note that not all games require an expansion hard drive and the Final Fantasy XI is one game that uses it.

At the end of the day, the PS2 turned out to be a console that had something that everyone could enjoy, which is probably why it is one of the best-selling games in history. Most of the genres have amazing titles, and retro enthusiasts in particular, will pay anything for this line-up. Though you can hardly go wrong with this console, some of its strong suits include sports, open-world sandbox titles, racing and Japanese RPGs.
